This is an old and simple tool but it’s amazing to see a trained artist using it. This is the very first convincing example of a “creative” 3D sketching tool I see. Also watch the various drawings at the end of the video.
Jb is a former Phd student at InSitu and currently postdoctoral associate at the Media Lab.
In a talk called Beyond Tangible Interfaces, he presented us with the recent work done at the media lab, particularly in the tangible group. He also put all of these innovations back in their context and in the global environment where they came from.

The OLPC organization will be laying off half of its staff and ending its involvement in Sugar development, core of the OLPC Environment. I don’t know what this mean in regard of software developments for the version 2. From the announce:
