Advanced Design of Interactive Systems
The prerequisite is the HCI Bootcamp, which values understanding the overall design process, speed and effective collaboration.
This advanced course builds upon the techniques in the HCI Bootcamp, but emphasizes critical thinking as you deconstruct an existing system and principled design of a new system. Grading will be based on ability to identify key design problems from the user's perspective and creativity in generating a solution that is inspired by design principles, especially co-adaptation and instrumental interaction.
The class will be divided into two groups that will design creative solutions for some aspect of 1. creating slide shows, and 2. creating posters and flyers.
